Mississauga Training Centre Private Career College is the first educational facility of its kind in Ontario. Owned by Anba Abraam Charity, MTC is proud to support the community by increasing human capital in the GTA region which it serves.
While offering Ministry Certified programs to the general public, MTC is also catering to the growing immigrant and refugee community in the greater Toronto area. Through no-fee programs such as Sewing and Alterations, MTC is providing those with limited command of the English language with the opportunity to learn a tangible and in-demand skill. This 70-hour program consists of classes in basic and advanced sewing and alterations, as well as group English lessons and the opportunity to work with a career counselor to create a resume to further contribute to their job search.
Computer classes are also offered and cover a variety of skills ranging from E-mail Use and Internet Searches, to creating documents and presentations in Microsoft Office. These courses afford refugees a greater sense of empowerment and independence when job searching and communicating with family back home.
MTC is proud to continue to increase its list of offerings to meet the needs of its community.
